Goater's goal sends Bermuda through
reached the first round of the 1994 World Cup qualifying competition.
Bermuda defeated Haiti by virtue of having scored more goals away from home despite losing 2-1 in Port-au-Prince on Sunday.
A crowd of more than 25,000 cheered on the home team but it was Shawn Goater, who scored when Bermuda won 1-0 here on April 26, who provided the vital goal after 20 minutes.
Charlite Eliazar scored twice for the Haitians, the second 12 minutes from time, as Bermuda were forced to defend desperately to set up a first-round tie against Antigua with goalkeeper Dwayne Adams in superb form.
Dates for the first round are to be negotiated, but FIFA has stipulated that the home-and-away series must be completed between June 15 and July 31.
