Jacklin and son fly in for junior tourney
next week's annual Glidden Bowl tournament, organised by Bermuda Junior Golf Association.
And he'll be bringing with him his 15-year-old son, Anthony, to compete in the three-day Belmont event.
Jacklin, now a prominent member of the Senior PGA Tour, is best remembered for his victory in the British Open at Royal Lytham in 1969, and more significantly the US Open at Hazeltine a year later. He was the first British winner of the US Open in 50 years.
Jacklin, now the director of golf at the San Roque Club in the US, is scheduled to arrive on the Island on Monday as a guest of the BJGA and Pembroke Paint Company, sponsors of the Glidden Bowl.
The tournament takes place at Belmont next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Jacklin presenting the prizes on the Thursday evening, as well as conducting a clinic during the event.
