And a special Cabinet Committee will be asking for the views of interested groups and members of the public.

Tourism Minister David Dodwell said: "While it is anticipated that the report will take a comprehensive look at the subject, strong emphasis will be placed on safety issues from a commercial standpoint relating to the use of jet skis and on educating users, locals and tourists alike on appropriate safety measures to be adopted while operating such watercraft.'' The committee is chaired by Mr. Dodwell and includes Minister of the Environment Irving Pearman, Transport Minister Wayne Furbert and Youth and Sport Minister Tim Smith, as well as representatives from the sport, Marine Police and the Water Safety Council.

The committee, which held its first meeting earlier this month, also agreed to sign up technical officials from the Ministries represented on it.
