Marlins held onto first place in the Fishbowl League with a three-point victory over Tuna while Wahoo were winning by the same margin over Rockfish.

220 with Joe Correia and Larry Lombardo tying for the men's top series with 563s. Tuna were spirited on by Marie Frith who bowled the women's second high series and game of 547 and 214.

Wahoo and Rockfish went down to the wire in the second and third games of their match with Wahoo winning by 21 pins as Rockfish won the last game after bowling a 928 to Wahoo's 922.

Cow Pollies took advantage of their stripes with a four-point win over defending champions Hinds on the lead of Alton Lowe, bowling the third high series of 558 with George McLarnon close on his heels in support with a 545 and Patricia Miller with the women's third high game of 210.

Angel Fish took the snap out of Snappers with a 4-0 win while Sharks sharpened their teeth on the gentle Dolphins by the same margin.

Porgies calmed down the Piranhas with a 3-1 win while Mackerel took the sting out of Barracuda with an identical result. Robert Darrell led the way for Barracuda with the men's third high series and game of 552 and 209.

Barry DeCouto rolled a 549 men's high series and Antoinette DeCouto contributed a women's second high game of 224 and 540 third high series, but these two fine efforts still did not prevent leaders D&D Rollers from being beaten 3-1 by Untouchables in the Mixed Majors Bowling League's recent play.

Charlette Samuels led Untouchables with a women's third high game of 216. Mike Glasgow's 545 men's second high series and team-mate Neville Cann's 212 second high game led Troublemakers to a 3-1 win over Strikers for whom Teddy Brangman had a men's third high game of 207.

Marie Frith's outstanding 597 women's high series and high game of 233 helped E&C Well Drilling to a 4-0 triumph over B's and G's while Kathy Christopher's 554 series saw Dynamic 4 beat Mix Ups 3-1. The other game saw Last Minutes defeat Dolphins 3-1.

SNOOKER SNO Warwick II pulled off the first upset on this season's Inter-divisional play in the snooker league by beating their number one team 3-2.

Earlston Lightbourne made a 22-break in leading Warwick II and was joined in the win column by J.R. Robinson and Reuben Burchall. Steve Dunleavy made a 46-break and was joined by Steve Bremar in getting the points for Warwick I.

Dunleavy was the First Division player of the week.

First Division champions National Sports Club barely got by Spanish Point Boat Club 3-2 with wins from Tony DeSilva, Paul Charleton and Mike Tatem. Conrad Soares surprised Tyler Moniz 82-36 for SPBC and was joined by Eddie Roberts who defeated Stephen Pantry.

Old Colony Club had a 5-0 win over their number three team. Winning were Robert Gaglio, Phil Lambert, Terry Southern, Dave McLean and Brian Haxton who won a thrilling black ball game against Warren Harris. Gaglio and Lambert both made a 20-break in their games.

Roger Henderson, Zane DeSilva, Gary Skinner and David DeSilva led Sandys Sports Club to a 4-1 win over St. George's. Jason Payne prevented the whitewash and was named Second Division player of the week for his 73-9 thrashing of Anthony DeSilva.

Queens I took a solid 4-1 win over OCC II thanks to winning efforts from Greg Falzone, Peter Bromby, Graham Williams and Sandy Sandhu. OCC's Stanley Mocklow scored their lone point with a 52-32 win over Stephen Roberts.

Tony Lambert made a 30-break in leading Police to a 4-1 win over Queens II.

Other Police winners were Rick Clarke, Andy Wright and Tim Carr while Nick Mansell won for Queens.

League games scheduled for November 11 will be played on November 10 due to the holiday.

TABLE TENNIS PP The Bermuda Table Tennis Association confirmed yesterday that the father-and-son pair of George and Anthony Cooper of Atlanta will coach the Bermuda national team.

The Coopers arrive on Monday and their specific duties will be to prepare the national team and then accompany them to the US Open Team Championships in Detroit later this month.

In the interim, the pair will attend affiliate clubs as well as some schools.

Training sessions for those who are going to Detroit are tentatively set for Wednesdays and Saturdays at Elliott School.

ROAD RUNNING RUN The Timeless 10-K will be held on Sunday at 9.30 p.m. starting just outside the Canadian Forces base.

This race, formerly the Kaliber 10-K, provide a feature in that runners are not allowed to wear watches and are expected to guess their finishing times.

Winners will be determined by those who are closest to their estimated time.

Entries close on Friday though late entries are accepted on race day.

GOLF GLF Bailey's Bay Cricket Club will be having a meeting for all golfers at 6 p.m.
