George's selectors that, at age 41, he is worthy of a recall.

Both Gibbons and Arnold Manders are set to play in an inter-club trial today at Wellington Oval, fuelling speculation that both players are about to be recalled.

Tomorrow, Gibbons will be in the Bailey's Bay team that travels to Wellington Oval to meet a St. George's team that has a chance to take over first place in the Premier Division Overs competition.

St.George's are presently tied with Western Stars at the top, but Stars have a day off because of the tour of Canada by their scheduled opponents, Cleveland.

As a result only three matches in the top flight are scheduled. Police take on Devonshire Rec at Police Field and Willow Cuts host Southampton Rangers at Somerset in a clash of two West End teams.

Defeats by St. George's and Stars last weekend have made things interesting at the top and now teams like Willow Cuts, Police and even Devonshire Rec. are poised to close in.

Things have not gone particularly well for Bay who have won just one of four Overs matches, leaving them second from bottom in that competition, while they have a 2-2 record from their four Open matches. They should certainly welcome Gibbons' experience.

In First Division Overs action tomorrow, first and third-placed St. David's and Flatts clash at Lord's while the International Youth Team will be involved in their final warm-up before next weekend's International Youth Tournament when they take on Somerset at Sea Breeze Oval.

Somerset Bridge play Hamilton Parish and Warwick take on PHC in the other matches. All games start at 12.00 noon.
