inaugural Black Masters Golf Classic wiped out as a host of Bermudians, led by Barry DeCouto, closed in on the American in yesterday's second round at Port Royal.

DeCouto shot an 81 in tricky conditions to move into a first place tie with Payton on 152 going into today's final round at Castle Harbour. And DeCouto has plenty of local company as second through sixth places are occupied by locals.

Bill Pitt is third on 155 while a further four strokes back is Adrian Crickwell on 159 with Keith Trott (161) and Wendell Hassell, second overnight, sixth on 162.
