Camel Cup places, could play the role of spoilers in tomorrow's Open League cricket.

Second-place Willow Cuts, who missed their big chance to close the gap on unbeaten leaders Western Stars last weekend when they suffered a surprise loss to Nationals, face a tough away match against Police at Police field while Stars travel to Sea Breeze Oval to take on a Cleveland team with their sights set on a top-four finish.

Presently, Cleveland are fifth in the standings, nine points behind Nationals while Police are in the middle of the tables. Bailey's Bay, third, have a good chance to close the gap when they travel to St. John's field to meet Social Club. Bay are just four points behind Willow Cuts and 15 behind Stars.

St. David's and Nationals, who were involved in two of the suprise results last weekend, meet at Lord's. St. David's suffered a surprise loss to Hamilton Parish while Nationals shocked Willow Cuts.

St. David's are too far off the pace to even have a chance of a Camel Cup place but Nationals have managed to remain in the top four and a win tomorrow would certainly keep them in the running for their first appearance in the Camel Cup.

Last weekend, Jason Lewis and Gary Knight were their unlikely bowling heroes, both taking four for 27 as Cuts were dismissed in just 23.1 overs.

Southampton Rangers, another dark horse for a Camel Cup spot, also travel to the east end tomorrow. They head for Wellington Oval where they will meet Parish.

Somerset will be looking to bounce back from their loss against St. George's last weekend, with a good showing against neighbours Somerset Bridge. Bridge only just lost to Police last weekend and will be pumped up for this west-end derby.

St. George's should be favoured over Warwick at Southampton Oval, while champions Devonshire are at home to Flatts in the other match.
