Having already announced they will give $5,000 to the respective men's and women's winners if they can beat the course record, the sports store have now offered a cash incentive to all those runners who ran the race last year.

For every minute that a runner knocks off his or her finishing time in 1999, the store will give a one percent discount in the form of a coupon. Thus, if a runner beats his or her time of last year by 20 minutes, they will be entitled to a 20 percent discount on any item in the store, providing the coupon is redeemed in the month of October.

To be eligible, athletes must fill out a form at Sport R Us before May 24, stating their name, telephone number and 1999 finishing time.
