Such was the domination of the Pembroke school that they won every race in the junior and senior divisions and four out of seven races in the intermediate.

They also led in breaking records, accounting for all four that fell on the day.

William Massey clocked 14.60 seconds to set a new standard for the under 13 boys 25 metre butterfly while Matthew Hammond (17.64) did likewise in the 25 metre backstroke.

The under 13 boys also lowered the reading for the 100 metre individual medley and 100 freestyle. The team of Hammond, Trevor Nelson, Massey and Stephen Troake managed 1:04.25 to beat the old medley record by almost four seconds and turned round to smash the freestyle mark by a similar margin, clocking 56.87.

Warwick Academy won back the mantle they had surrendered to Bermuda High School by ruling the intermediate and senior categories.

Claudia Seymour, Tiffany Gosling, Tamika Williams and L.Perinchief all claimed two individual firsts to spark their school's triumph.
