BOWLING BOW Antoine Jones had a 661 high series and fourth high game of 235 as Pembroke Juniors beat Warwick Reds 231 -31 in the Barritt's Sportmen's League last week.

Team-mate Woody Jones also had a good night with a third high series of 568.

Hilton Hayward had a second high series of 583 but it was not good enough to prevent Warwick Whites from being beaten 16-11 by Buy & Sell.

For the losers, Steven Paul had a second high game of 243.

Gerald Brangman had a good night for Mini Forwarders who beat Social Club 17-10. Brangman had a third high game of 238 and fourth high series of 566.

In the other game, Sparks beat Young Blood 15-12.

Saturday's schedule: Pembroke Juniors v Buy & Sell, Sparks v Mini Forwarders, Warwick Reds v Social Club, Young Blood v Warwick Whites.

DARTS DRT RAA are the repeat title holders for the Helen Flood Memorial Trophy after beating Mariners, Hamilton Parish, St. George's II and St. George's I.

St. George's I, who were beaten 3-1 by RAA in the final, had a rewarding night as they started by knocking out first placed BAA 3-1 in the first round before stopping Moonglow Moonglow 3-1 in the semifinals.

In the quarter-finals of the team knockout, Hamilton Parish knocked out second-placed RAA with a 3-1 win, while St. George's II had a narrow 3-2 win over East End Mini Yacht Club. In the other matches St. George's I beat Police East 3-1 while BAA had a clean 3-0 win over Mariners.

Two select matches are scheduled for tomorrow at Police East starting at 8.30 p.m. Limeys will play Onions in the first match and Onions will take on The Rest of the League in the other contest.

TENNIS TEN A total of 41 teams, an increase of three teams from 1993, have signed on to participate in the Commercial League this season.

As in previous years, teams within a division will play each other twice during the season. There will be a meeting of all team representatives at Pomander Gate Tennis Club next Thursday at 6 p.m. to distribute copies of the team lists, rules, fixtures and balls. All teams are asked to send a representative.

CHESS CHS The Marks Tournament was concluded last week with Bishops beating Islanders 31 -1 in the final as Tony Saunders, George Ben and Bob Bagley all recorded victories over Bobby Miller, Noel Trott and Neal Trott respectively.

The lone Islanders triumph came from Rick Robinson who downed Brian Stephenson, while Chris Bickley and David Shanks drew.

SWIMMING SW The first swim meet of the season will be held on April 30 at the BASA pool when the Spring Series meet is staged, starting at 1.30 p.m.

All events are open to swimmers regardless of age and despite the meeting being an open meet, each swimmer is required to give his or her age as of January 1, 1994 as the Spring meets are designed to qualify swimmers for the national squad.

Swimmers aged 17 and younger on January 1, 1994 have an opportunity to qualify for the national age group team which will be travelling to Kingston, Jamaica in July for the Caribbean Swimming Championships.
