Vasco eye Cup final
the Martonmere Cup final.
The defending champions are already through, following their 5-1 come-from-behind thrashing of North Village last weekend. And tonight at Devonshire Rec. Vasco will attempt to secure the other spot when they clash with Dandy Town in the second semi-final.
Vasco have won four out of five league and cup matches so far this season and are probably the most in-form team locally at present. Town stunned them in a recent league match when they scored in the first minute, but Vasco kept their composure and came back to win 2-1.

This will be the first night match at Devonshire Rec. this season after the ground was closed for road widening on Frog Lane which included the building of a new boundary wall on the eastern end of the ground.
Tonight's opening match at sees North Village Rams taking on Fire Service in the final of the Commercial League Cup B.
Alan Mooney and Andy Robinson each scored two goals as Robin Hood crushed Valley 5-0 in a first-round FA Cup match on Tuesday night at BAA Field. Hood, who captured the Commercial League A Cup with a win on Saturday, now face Fire Service in second round action on November 9.
Leading 1-0 at the half, Hood broke open Tuesday's match with four goals in the final 20 minutes in support of 'keeper Graham Pitkethley's shutout. Jar McCabe was the other scorer.
League action resumes tomorrow night at Devonshire Rec. where neighbours Devonshire Cougars and North Village meet in the feature match. Second Division leaders Wolves take on winless St. George's in the opener.
Ongoing light problems at PHC Stadium have forced the BFA to switch Saturday's First Division match between PHC and Vasco to Sunday afternoon. As a result the league clash between champions Devonshire Colts and Somerset has been brought forward from Sunday to Saturday night, at BAA Field at 9.00.
