Terryn Fray hammered the season's second century and highest individual score to date at White Hill Field on Saturday to power Bermuda Cricket Board's Under-18 Development XI to an emphatic 183-run victory over Somerset Bridge.

The 16-year-old lashed an unbeaten 146 off 145 deliveries during a knock that kept the Bridge fielders on their toes. And they didn't help their cause by conceding 47 extras.

The elegant right -handed opener despatched 15 fours.

Along with Deunte' Darrell, Fray shared in an unbroken 167-run partnership for the fifth wicket that broke Bridge's back and laid the foundation for his team's first win of the season. Darrell also proved to be a thorn in Bridge's side as he hit an unbeaten 69 off 105 balls.

"I think the batting of Terryn and Deunte' made all the difference. That was a big total we scored and on a spacious field like White Hill it was always going to be difficult for Bridge to get those runs," said coach Andre Manders.

Having given their bowlers plenty of runs to defend, Manders' youngsters used only 26.5 overs to skittle Bridge out with spinners Joshua Gilbert and Tre Govia sharing seven wickets between them. Off-spinner Gilbert led the way with superb figures of four for 21 off 5.3 overs and was backed up by leg spinner Govia who took three for 24 off seven overs. Donnie Charles led the Bridge resistance with a battling 39.

Bridge's misfortunes continued yesterday at Sea Breeze Oval where they suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Bailey's Bay. Led by Jermaine Salaam's top knock of 44 and Donnie Charles' 37, the visitors posted 170 all out in 49.3 overs.

Reid Trott was Bay's most successful bowler, claiming three for 24 while national team skipper Irving Romaine took three for 29 and Cal Dill two for 30.

Bay then raced to victory in 27.3 overs with skipper Rodney Trott (38 not out) and master blaster Glenn Blakeney (47 not out) carrying the hosts to their winning total of 172 for three.

At Police Field, Flatts celebrated a first win of the season, beating Leg Trappers by 75 runs.

Led by half-centuries from Phillip Burgess (60) and player/coach Dean Minors (54), Flatts rattled up 236 all out in 49.4 overs.

South African seamer Johann Oosthuizen topped the Leg Trappers bowling with figures of four for 35.

In reply, Trappers fell short with Lucking top scoring with 48 and Stephen Drake contributing 39 in his team's total of 161.

Left-arm spinner Vernon Eve was the pick of the Flatts bowling, snaring four for 29. Barry DeCouto Jr had three for 25.

At Somerset, Willow Cuts handed Warwick a seven-wicket thrashing. Warwick batted first and scored 159 all out in 47 overs with skipper Kion Butterfield (26) and Romar Simmons (24) contributing the most runs. Teenage seamer Kevon Fubler he returned figures of four for 29.

Cuts (163 for three) then cruised to victory with ten overs to spare with Sheroy Fubler (51 not out), Reggie Tucker (50 not out) and Ryan Shepperd leading the way.

At White Hill Field, PHC paid the price for sloppy fielding as they lost to Western Stars by three wickets after dropping eight catches in the field.

PHC scored 225 for seven in their allotted overs with Jason Anderson hitting 62 and Cal Waldron scoring 60. Stars left-arm spinner Gershon Gibbons led his team's bowling with two for 32 while skipper Justin Robinson had two for 33.

In reply, Treadwell Gibbons smashed 79, former PHC player Khiry Furbert added 35 and Robinson 36 not out to steer Stars (226 for six) to victory with 13 balls to spare.

Veteran wrist spinner David (Chick) Adams - three for 20 - was the pick of the PHC bowling.
