Rugby U19s tops in Caribbean

Bermuda have clinched the Under-19 Caribbean Rugby Championships, beating Trinidad and Tobago by 18 points to 15 in the final in the Bahamas.

But the game could have gone either way, with Bermuda forging ahead with just two minutes remaining.

The Bermuda team were hit by injuries during the tournament but, according to a team spokesman, they showed "immense heart" in executing the game plan and clinched the title in what was only the second year they had competed in the event.

They now qualify for the IRB Under-20 tournament qualifier for Junior World Trophy to be played in April/May next year.

Cayman were the Caribbean winners last year and travelled to Kenya in April this year where they came up against the likes of Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Romania, USA, Korea and Namibia
