Zebras back to top in Futsal League

PHC Zebras galloped back to the top of the Women’s Futsal League courtesy of a 8-1 thrashing of Dandy Stars Brown at Dellwood Middle School at the weekend.Calay Hollis netted a hat -trick, Aaliyah Nolan added a brace while Micah Pond, Taznae Fubler and Raeesah Shakir scored one apiece for a Zebras side that dominated the entire match.Zahra Gibbons netted Dandy Stars Brown’s consolation goal on the only occasion they managed to penetrate a well marshalled Zebras defence.Previously unbeaten league leaders Dandy Stars Gold were knocked off the top after losing 5-3 to reigning league champs North Village Rams.Leilanni Nesbeth and Tamisha Darrell both netted braces while Naquita Robinson added a sole tally for Rams.Dandy Stars Gold replied through goals from K'Shaela Burch-Waldron who scored a brace and Cleshaunay Darrell Virgil who added one.The remaining match saw Young Men’s Social Club record their first win of the season after edging bottom side Hamilton Parish 2-1.Kydnne Scott Fishenden and Zekiah Lewis were the goal scoring heroes for the Bluebirds while Asrael Basden replied for the Hot Peppers.Somerset Trojans had a bye.
