Young rider Tota

Khaleb Tota, the Bermuda show jumper, has joined up with other Caribbean riders in Florida to compete against the USA and Canada.

The three-day FEI Group IV Junior Jumping Challenge event is a stand alone friendly competition, which finishes on Saturday in Wellington, Florida.

Tota and two riders each from Barbados, Jamaica, Cayman, and Trinidad and Tobago form the Caribbean side that are taking on the North Americans.

The team of nine Caribbean riders are competing on borrowed horses. Tomorrow, the junior competitors will watch two of Bermuda’s senior riders, Kijuan Minors and Nick DeCosta, compete in a qualifying event for the Central American and Caribbean Games.

The event is one of two official FEI qualifying events being held on that day, the other one being held in Lanaken, Belgium.
