Jenkins hits hat-trick

A hat-trick from Drew Jenkins helped Bermuda to a 9-7 win over France at the World Lacrosse Championships in Denver, Colorado, yesterday.

Stephen Kojima, Douglas Bell, Stephen Michel also scored for Bermuda, who are grouped with Uganda and Ireland. Bermuda take on France today and Uganda tomorrow.

Also yesterday, Netherlands beat China 19-4, Switzerland defeated Latvia 10-5, Wales overcame Russia 10-2, Italy beat Norway 14-9, Hong Kong beat Austria 13-12, Scotland defeated Thailand 24-3, Israel beat Sweden 19-4, Finland breezed past Colombia 19-0, Slovakia beat Korea 15-6 and Czech Republic beat Turkey 12-3.
