Selley and Fletcher continue to dominate

Making a splash: Selley and Fletcher won yesterday's race

David Selley and co-pilot Jordan Fletcher continued their memorable season with a victory in the Bermuda Power Boat Association Memorial Race yesterday.

The pair, who claimed honours in the Rubis Energy Around the Island Power Boat Race last month, won both their two half-hour timed inshore and outshore races in their B8 Phantom.

Howard Ascento and Ryan Spencer came second the outshore race, while father and son combination, Jody and Tony Carreiro, rounded out the top three.

Five of the seven boats competing did not finish the race.

In the inshore race, Chris Warboys and Dr Stephen Sherwin came second.

The next major event in the powerboat calender will be the Dockyard race on September 21.
