Bermuda name squad

The Bermuda Netball Association has announced the 12-player national team squad for the international clashes against the United States this weekend. The Longtails will take on the Flying Eagles in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday and Saturday.

Having received a £30,000 (about $38,000) grant from the Commonwealth Games Federation Developmental Programme 2015-18, facilitated through the Bermuda Olympic Association, in an attempt to qualify for the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Bermuda would have to play eight international matches and be ranked in the top 14 in the world. Bermuda have just returned from a successful tournament in Aberdeen, Scotland, this month.

The Longtails will face the Flying Eagles on Friday at 7.30pm Bermuda time and the next day at 10.30am and 5.30pm.
