Bermuda Half Marathon Derby winner Lamont Marshall, Somerset Cup Match cricketer Jekon Edness and former WBA middleweight boxing champion Teresa Perozzi will mix it with other celebrities when they turn out for the second annual Netball Celebrity Match this evening at the CedarBridge Academy gym starting at 7pm.

Marshall and Perozzi will play in a Gombey squad that also contains Zakiyah Durham, a national under-21 netball player, Marissa Brangman, a former netball captain and coach, Karlandra Smith, a former netball national team vice-captain, senator Jason Hayward, comedian Nadanja Bailey and Shannon Burgess, the BFA first vice-president.

The 9-Parish Ballers team will contain the likes of Debra Saltus, a former BNA president and international umpire and coach, former netball captain Dominique Richardson, national squad player Chaquita Simmons and hockey player and news broadcaster, Jasmine Patterson.

Coaches for the match are Merle Parfitt and national team shooter Danielle Raynor. Both are fresh off a missionary trip to Ghana with the Ace It Foundation where they spent two weeks teaching netball and taking part in a tournament.

Admission is $10, $5 for children and seniors, with proceeds in aid of the BNA’s national programme. There will also be a halftime shoot-out competition.
