Economy focus for conference

The global economy and energy sector will be the focus for a meeting held by a Canadian merchant bank at the Fairmont Southampton next month.

The Autumn Investment Conference, which will be hosted by Calgary-based Kinnear Financial Ltd and runs from Thursday October 20 to Friday October 21, has an impressive line-up of experts who will give their insights into current events and future trends.

The formal presentations will take place on the Friday and will include Arthur Berman, director and geological consultant at Layrinth Consulting Services Inc, Kenneth Deffeyes, Professor Emeritus of Geology at Princeton University and author of Beyond Oil, Henry Groppe, partner at Groppe, Long & Littell, Larry Jeddeloh, managing director and chief investment officer at the TIS Group, Charles Maxwell, senior energy analyst at Weeden & Co, Ronald Stoeferle, senior analyst at ERSTE Group in Vienna, and Prashant Vithlani, an investment manager from London.
