TCI premier visits Bermuda

The Governor John Rankin, along with the Deputy Governor Alison Crocket, was today pleased to receive at Government House the Hon. Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson, Premier of the Turks & Caicos Islands, along with members of her Government.

The delegation from the Turks & Caicos Islands is visiting Bermuda to study approaches taken to tackling gang violence. The Premier and His Excellency spoke about best practice exchange between Bermuda and the Turks & Caicos Islands, including in policing, as well as the wider relationship between the Territories.

The Governor said, “It was a pleasure to meet Premier Cartwright-Robinson and to welcome her to Bermuda. The links between Bermuda and the Turks & Caicos Islands are important from both a historical and present-day perspective.”
