Tianny Butterfield new councillor for Corporation of St George

Tianny Butterfield has been declared a new municipal residents’ councillor for the Corporation of St George after polling for an extraordinary municipal election was held on Thursday.

Lynwood Trott was the second candidate for the role.

Ms Butterfield, who campaigned as a third-generation resident aimed as keeping the town “historic, active and a place for the people to be heard and represented”, took the position formerly held by Cyniqua Anderson, who resigned in May.

Ms Butterfield took 83 votes, while Mr Trott received 63,
