The economy is strengthening under the Government’s leadership, according to Jason Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour.

In a statement issued today, Mr Hayward claimed that the Government was “working tirelessly to secure Bermuda’s economic success” — and that its efforts were delivering results.

In a document entitled Building A Better Bermuda For All, Mr Hayward listed a slew of initiatives that he claimed had created jobs and pumped millions of dollars of investment into the economy.

He added that the Government had also moved to reduce hardship on less well-off families by boosting financial assistance programmes and tax breaks.

"Aiming to build a better economy for all, the Ministry of Economy and Labour continues working tirelessly to secure Bermuda's economic success,“ said Mr Hayward.

“By implementing effective policy solutions, we support families in need, protect those in the workplace, provide opportunities for Bermudians to find gainful employment and increase economic activity through local and international strategies.

“In short, the ministry focuses on promoting jobs, protecting Bermudians and responding to the economy's needs."
