Edward Lamb appointed Permanent Secretary of National Security

National security role: Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Lamb

Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Lamb has been appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Security.

Colonel Lamb was previously Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism and the Cabinet Office and succeeds Christopher Farrow, who has retired.

In his new role, Colonel Lamb will be the senior civil servant for the Department of Corrections and the Royal Bermuda Regiment, both of which he led as Commissioner and Commanding Officer respectively. He will also have responsibility for the Bermuda Police Service, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, the Customs Department and the Emergency Measures Organisation.

Colonel Lamb’s assignment becomes effective on May 9.
