Residents of Pembroke have been invited to a “meet and greet” by Progressive Labour Party MP Jason Hayward who is running for the leadership of the party.

Mr Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour, and his team will host the event on Tuesday at the Pembroke Sunday School Hall. The event starts at 6pm.

“We will like to hear your concerns and suggestions for the parish of Pembroke and Bermuda,” Mr Hayward’s team said in a release.

The team also said it also plans to share its vision and plans for “a stronger PLP and a better Bermuda for all”.

Mr Hayward announced his candidacy for the PLP leadership in February.

He said: “I am prepared by experience, I am prepared by struggle and I am prepared by service.”

The MP for Pembroke Central hosted a post-Mother’s Day event last month as he campaigns for the party’s leadership.
