A premier and deputy premier of two other British Overseas Territories watched Bermuda legislators at work when they visited the island’s House of Assembly on Friday.

A spokeswoman said Cora Richardson-Hodge, Premier of Anguilla, and Jamell Robinson, Deputy Premier of the Turks & Caicos Islands, visited the House as part of the 2026 OT Caribbean Caucus, hosted by David Burt, the Premier.

Reuben Meade, Natalio Wheatley and André Ebanks, the Premiers of Montserrat, the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands respectively, also attended the caucus, which Mr Burt, also Bermuda’s Minister of Finance, hosted in his capacity as President of the United Kingdom Overseas Territories Association Political Council, from September 8 to 12.

After Ms Richardson-Hodge and Mr Robinson were greeted at the House on Friday by Lovitta Foggo, the Deputy Speaker, and Joan Dillas-Wright, the President of the Senate, they observed part of the morning session.

The caucus precedes the annual Joint Ministerial Council Meetings with the UK Government in November and discussions focus on issues such as “constitutional modernisation, climate resilience, economic and financial services, healthcare, cybersecurity, regional co-operation and the overall wellbeing of OT citizens”.

OT leaders also visited the Royal Naval Dockyard and St George.
