The Ace Group has announced the appointment of Charles Brooks as global operations officer, effective from September 6.Mr Brooks will be responsible for a range of operational areas across the organisation including information technology, real estate and facilities, contingency planning and business continuity, purchasing, workflow management and general business efficiencies. He will report to Evan Greenberg, chairman and CCEO of Ace Ltd.“We are delighted to welcome Charles to Ace,” said Mr Greenberg. “He has a strong background and impressive record of achievement in operations and systems capabilities that are important to our company and help distinguish our competitive dimension. Being swift, efficient and flexible in our operations directly contributes to our ability to meet the needs of our customers and distribution partners.”Mr Brooks joins Ace from Aetna, where he was head of M&A services for IT and operations. Prior to his service with Aetna, Mr Brooks held senior operations and systems positions with Travelers, Accenture and Prudential. Earlier in his career, he served as a captain in the US Army.
