Argus delegation meets Malta’s president
Bosses at insurance firm Argus have met the president of Malta to underline their commitment to the country.
Alison Hill, CEO of Argus, which has offices in Malta connected with its pension and private health insurance business there, and other top executives met Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the president of the chain of Mediterranean islands.
Ms Coleiro Preca said: “It was a pleasure to host Ms Hill and members of her team from Bermuda.
“The visit from senior management demonstrates Argus' ongoing commitment to our country.”
Ms Hill added it as “an honour to meet the president and to continue the firm's growth in Malta”.
She added she and new Argus executive vice-president for strategic development Cindy Campbell had also met representatives of the Malta Financial Services Authority and the Malta Stock Exchange during the visit earlier this month.
Ms Hill said that Ms Campbell, who has been with the firm for more than a decade in various senior roles, was “well-positioned” to take a leading part in developing the firm, which includes focusing on increased business in Malta.
The Argus delegation also included Shiela Nicoll, chairman of Argus Group Holdings and Dr Vanessa Borg, CEO of Argus Insurance Agencies (Malta).
