A segment of Bermudian-based Aspen Insurance Holdings is to open a new office in Texas.

Aspen US Insurance will use the Dallas office as hub for regional customers and brokers, with an initial focus on excess casualty products on a wholesale and retail basis.

But it is expected the Dallas operation will expand and offer more services in the future.

Lorraine Seib, global head of excess casualty, said: “The Dallas office will provide us with a local presence through which we can meet the evolving risk management needs of our clients and brokers.”
