Counter-intelligence speaker at Alarys
An ex-US Air Force counter-intelligence expert is to discuss the risk to business from organised crime in Latin America.
Elman Myers, now a managing director at Bermudian-based Hiscox, will be the keynote speaker at the Alarys risk management conference, to be held later this month.
Mr Myers said: “We will take an overview of the security threats in the regions, show how they affect business interests and explore ways to effectively manage the risks.”
Mr Myers manages a business development and client service team for Hiscox that markets special risks, kidnap and ransom, insurance in Latin America.
“This is a highly relevant and timely subject that will be of major interest to our delegates,” said Jorge Luzzi, president of the Fundación Latinoamericana de Administradores de Riesgos y Seguros, known as Fundalarys, who also serves as executive vice-president of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations.
“We are honoured to have Elman address this topic for our audience and we look forward to welcoming him and all our attendees to Bermuda in two weeks' time.”
The event will be held at the Hamilton Princess between Sunday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 27.
