PwC is the lead sponsor and David Gibbons, PwC Bermuda captive insurance leader, said: “The captive industry continues to be a significant part of the overall Bermuda market and BIMA represents the interests of this market admirably, both locally and on the international stage.

“The education summit provides an excellent opportunity for captive industry professionals to further develop and network. PwC is proud to be involved with such an important event as its lead sponsor.”

Malcolm Butterfield, CEO of the BII, said: “The agenda will cover a number of current and future issues impacting the insurance industry and I would encourage everyone to register and participate in this first-class and well-planned event.”

Jennifer Masters, PwC Bermuda manager, said: “I look forward to moderating a session on AML/ATF at the summit. This is an area I have been working very closely with various insurance managers over the last two years.

“AML regulation is a key part of the Bermuda Monetary Authority's strong corporate and regulatory framework and it is great to see all the insurance managers and other regulated financial institutions so engaged.”

Kathleen Bibbings, president of BIMA and vice-president of Bermuda Captive Services at AIG, said: “Our members look forward to the 5th annual BIMA — BII Education Summit as the premier source of captive insurance specific updates on regulatory, audit and legislative changes from the experts in our industry.”

Grainne Richmond, Executive Committee member and past president of BIMA, said: “We would like to thank all our sponsors of this year's event — PwC Bermuda, Marsh, Deloitte, JLT, CD&P and Dyna Management with particular thanks to our platinum sponsor PwC Bermuda.

“The summit, over the last five years has been a good source for those working in the captive industry to ensure they are up to speed on legislation and regulation impacting the captive insurance space.”
