Sforza joins Hamilton from PartnerRe

Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Brad Sforza to senior vice-president, head of property reinsurance, for its new US reinsurance platform.

Mr Sforza was previously with PartnerRe, where he was vice-president, property and multiline treaty.

He joins Steve Wilson, head of casualty and speciality reinsurance, in Hamilton's New York office as the company continues the buildout of its global reinsurance footprint in the US.

Kathleen Reardon, chief executive officer of Bermudian-based Hamilton Re Ltd, said: “All of us at Hamilton are pleased to see the manner in which our US platform is continuing to take shape.

“Brad Sforza's market reputation, client-management skills and understanding of multiple classes of business are a great complement to Steve Wilson's industry experience and expertise.”

Mr Sforza brings 20 years of industry experience to his new position. Prior to his role at PartnerRe, he spent more than 14 years at Willis Re, most recently as executive vice-president with responsibility for client management and business development. He began his career in reinsurance as a broker analyst at Aon Benfield.

Mr Sforza is a graduate of Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts, and holds a bachelor's and a master's of science degree, both in finance. His appointment to the new role at Hamilton is effective from January 27.
