Veteran broker joins TigerRisk Partners
Industry veteran Tim Ronda is to join TigerRisk Partners LLC as a senior executive.
The risk, capital and strategic adviser to the global insurance and reinsurance industries said that the hire further strengthens TigerRisk’s position as an elite player in the reinsurance marketplace.
Mr Ronda’s employment with TigerRisk will start on October 14.
The company said that Mr Ronda’s most recent position was global geographic leader of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon.
Before that, he was Aon’s president of Reinsurance Solutions for the United States. He was also a member of the firm’s reinsurance solutions global executive committee.
Before joining Aon, Mr Ronda was a senior vice-president at Guy Carpenter.

“We are delighted with Tim’s decision to join TigerRisk. He is one of the most experienced and capable reinsurance executives in the industry today.
“He brings with him two qualities especially important to us at TigerRisk: first, his broad-based relationships and experience, and second, his instinctual understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets.”
Rob Bredahl, who joined TigerRisk as president in 2019, added: “This is a real coup for TigerRisk. I have known Tim for 16 years as a former colleague and competitor and have always admired his approach to broking.
“We have had remarkable interest in our company from both potential clients and people wanting to join the team. Someone of Tim’s calibre joining will continue to add to our appeal. With Tim’s help, we’ll continue reshaping the industry.”
In addition to his executive roles at Aon, TigerRisk said, Mr Ronda is known for his expertise in areas such as property, management liability, E&O, employment practices, general and excess liability and workers’ compensation.
Mr Ronda graduated from Washington & Lee University with degrees in business administration and accounting. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, TigerRisk has offices in Bermuda, New York, London, Hong Kong, Minneapolis, Chicago and Raleigh.
