New home-grown hire at Ascot Bermuda

Ascot Bermuda has appointed Devin Page as senior vice-president, casualty/specialty.

Ascot said the new hire brings significant experience to Ascot, spanning both the insurance and reinsurance marketplace.

Mr Page has held various influential positions across the brokerage and underwriting community serving as both a broker and underwriter.

He has also worked across multiple lines of business including international property, casualty, professional lines and, most recently, running the global specialty book for Hiscox Re and ILS.

It consisted of cyber, mortgage, surety, wildfire liability, terrorism and other specialist lines.

Born and educated in Bermuda, Mr Page holds a master of science degree in international affairs from Georgia Tech, with concentrations in international security and development.

An Ascot statement said: “Devin will have a particular focus on specialty casualty business, working closely with Sean Ramlal, VP, who oversees professional and general liability lines. Both report to Justin Keith, head of casualty and specialty.”

Mr Keith said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Devin to Ascot. His experience and reputation in the Bermudian — and indeed global — reinsurance market are excellent.

“I look forward to working closely with him as we grow our business on the island.”
