Carr returns to Dublin as RenRe SVP

RenaissanceRe has appointed long-time staff member Cathal Carr to the position of senior vice-president, underwriting, and global head of climate and sustainability strategy in Dublin, Ireland.
Mr Carr has spent 17 years with Bermudian-headquartered RenRe — including 13 years on the island until departing this month — where he was most recently SVP, underwriting, global head of property catastrophe.
He began his career at RenRe in 2005 as a risk analyst in the Dublin office.
Mr Carr is a graduate of Dublin City University with a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering with first-class honours.
