Industry expert Elissa Doroff has joined Mosaic Insurance to lead the company’s North American claims handling as it builds out the core division globally.

Based in New York, Ms Doroff has been appointed head of claims Americas for Mosaic, and over time will expand the unit’s scope to serve a broad geography encompassing the US and Canada.

Her hiring follows another recent addition to Mosaic’s claims team in Rachel Haffenden, who joined the specialist insurer’s London office last month as senior claims adjuster.

Since Mosaic’s launch in February 2021, the division has been led by Natalie Graham, a lawyer who previously held managerial roles at Syndicate 4000 and Aon.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Elissa and Rachel to the team,” Ms Graham said. “They each bring a wealth of experience that enables Mosaic to provide highly technical and region-specific expertise as we partner with our insureds throughout all stages of the claims process.”
