Bermudian-headquartered Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd has announced two senior underwriting appointments at Hamilton Select Insurance Inc, its newly-launched E&S insurer.

Devon Minarik has joined as head of US small business casualty insurance and Logan Kirkland has joined as head of US products liability and contractors insurance.

Reporting to Hamilton Select Insurance Inc CEO Clay Rhoades, Mr Minarik and Mr Kirkland are based in Richmond, Virginia.

In these new roles, they have responsibility for the development of their respective lines of business.

Hamilton said its new US small business casualty division is targeting general liability insurance for a range of contractors and premises driven accounts and other general liability exposures for small businesses.

The company’s new US products liability and contractors division is focused on a broad range of hard-to-place manufacturing and construction risks, Hamilton said.
