Everest Re Group Ltd received top honours at the Inside P&C Honours awards ceremony, including the Hybrid Insurer of the Year award, which is an award that the editors designate to celebrate the outstanding achievements and exceptional talent from the US wholesale, specialty and (re)insurance markets.

Everest also won the Bermuda Reinsurer of the Year, Bermuda Insurer of the Year and the Diversity & Inclusion awards by Inside P&C Honours.

“This is quite an honour for Everest, and I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our people show every day to serve our clients and brokers,” said Juan C. Andrade, Everest president and CEO.

“This is not just a result of the world-class products and services we deliver; this is a reflection of our exceptional people and the diverse and inclusive culture we have built, which makes Everest the preferred partner we are today.”

Inside P&C Honours also presented Everest with the Bermuda Reinsurer of the Year award, which recognises the work of a Bermudian-based reinsurer that had excelled over the past year.

As one of the top three mortgage reinsurers, Everest Reinsurance (Bermuda) Ltd won the award for creating a reinsurance product that works with both government-sponsored enterprises and private mortgage insurers to effectively support the US mortgage system.

The Bermuda Insurer of the Year honours the work of a Bermudian-based insurer that demonstrated excellence in the past year and Everest Insurance Bermuda was recognised for leveraging Bermuda’s jurisdictional insurability advantages and serving the unique and evolving needs of customers by creating solutions that help directors and officers lead through an evolving risk landscape.

Everest was also presented with Inside P&C Honours’ Diversity and Inclusion Award, which recognises a company in the industry that is committed to furthering inclusion and diversity by actively improving the opportunities and advancement of inclusivity and socioeconomic diversity in the industry.

Everest’s multiprong approach, including the establishment of a DEI council and multiple employee resource groups, has helped to create a more equitable and inclusive workplace.

Winners were selected from more than 140 entries and announced during a live ceremony that took place last week.
