Denise Nichols: joins Fortitude Re as chief human resources officer

Insurance industry veteran Denise Nichols has joined Bermudian-based Fortitude Re as chief human resources officer.

Ms Nichols has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, having most recently served as the chief human resources officer for Voya Health and Wealth Solutions, where she was responsible for human capital strategy, talent acquisition, leadership development, inclusion and diversity.

She succeeds Amanda Stewart, who will be assuming the role of senior vice-president, employee experience, reporting to Ms Nichols.

In this new role, Ms Stewart will be responsible for Fortitude Re’s strategy to deliver an employee experience that is engaging, enriching and rewarding, the company said.

Fortitude Re chief executive officer Alon Neches said: “Denise is an exceptionally talented executive with a strong track record of driving value for employees and all stakeholders with her strategic approach to building high performance teams and cultures.

“Our most important resource is our people, and I look forward to partnering with Denise to continue building a franchise that develops, includes and retains world-class talent.”
