Catalina Re’s environmental, social and governance committee this week recognised the work of the Lady Cubitt Compassionate Association with a $9,000 donation.

LCCA vice-chairman Peter Hebberd was “most appreciative”.

“We are delighted that Catalina recognises and appreciates the impact and positive role that the LCCA plays within our community,” he said.

Sakina Darrell, Catalina Re human resources business partner, said the firm’s ESG committee was focused on ensuring that Catalina’s culture, core values and sound business practices continually and positively impact the community.

Catalina Re’s ESG committee chairwoman and treasury manager, Tina Rego, said: “In recognising the positive impact that the LCCA has had in our community during the past 90 years, Catalina is highly supportive of making a meaningful contribution that positively impacts the quality of life, health and wellbeing of individuals and families in our community.”

The LCCA is a local charity providing advice, counselling and financial assistance to people in need of help paying for everything from utility bills to overseas surgeries.
