Athene Life Re names Natasha Scotland Courcy CEO

Natasha Scotland Courcy has been named chief executive officer of Athene Life Re Ltd, the reinsurance subsidiary of Athene Holding Ltd.

Athene said she will continue to oversee the Bermuda office and drive the design and implementation of business operations and policies that promote the company’s culture.

Ms Scotland Courcy has more than 20 years of experience as a corporate attorney, including more than a decade with ALRe, where she most recently served as general counsel and chief operating officer.

She is the chairwoman of the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers.

In addition to her promotion, Brad Molitor has been named president and remains the group’s chief actuary. Mr Molitor previously served as Athene Bermuda chief financial officer.

Fergus Daly will continue as chief financial officer, Athene Life Re.

“The importance of our local presence and experienced leadership team cannot be understated as Athene and the life insurance sector in Bermuda continue to grow,” said Marty Klein, executive vice-president and chief financial officer at Athene.

“As CEO, Natasha will continue to lead our Bermuda-based team as we look to advance the industry through advocacy and leadership.”
