Colin James joins Relm as CFO

Bermudian-headquartered Relm Insurance Ltd has appointed Colin James as chief financial officer.

The company said Mr James will direct the innovative insurer's financial goals, objectives, budgets and investment of funds.

He will be based in Bermuda, reporting to Relm’s CEO, Joseph Ziolkowski.

“We are thrilled to welcome Colin to the Relm team as we continue to grow and execute our strategic priorities,” Mr Ziolkowski said.

“With Colin's extensive financial expertise and leadership across complex insurance initiatives, I'm confident he will elevate this role and contribute significantly to Relm's next phase of growth."

Mr James said: "This is an exciting time to be joining Relm. I am looking forward to being involved in shaping Relm for its next growth phase and executing on the exciting pipeline of opportunities.”

He joins Relm from Convex Bermuda Ltd, where he served as financial controller for the past three years.

Mr James, who is Bermudian, previously worked at Alterra Capital Holdings Limited, Ironshore Inc and Ironshore Insurance Ltd.

He is a CPA and CFA charter holder.

Relm is a Bermudian-domiciled specialty insurer serving emerging sectors with a focus on digital assets/Web3.0, cannabis and psychedelics.

The company is licensed and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority and holds an “A, Exceptional” financial stability rating from rating agency Demotech Inc.
