Temar Richards joins Relm Insurance

Bermudian-based Relm Insurance has appointed Temar Richards as vice-president, actuary.

The company said Mr Richards will contribute to the execution of Relm's strategic vision as well as optimising the company's pricing, reserving, product development and risk management strategies.

It added that his leadership will be integral in bolstering Relm’s resilience, innovation, and sustained growth.

Joseph Ziolkowski, chief executive officer of Relm, said: “Temar's experience and solution-oriented approach aligns perfectly with our commitment to risk management excellence.

“His leadership in the actuarial domain will undoubtedly strengthen our capabilities as we continue to grow and meet the evolving needs of our insureds.”

Mr Richards was previously lead actuary at Nayms, the island-based crypto native reinsurance marketplace.

The company said he spearheaded initiatives in actuarial, data, finance, and accounting, and played a pivotal role in orchestrating the transition from a fully collateralised to a leveraged business model.

Prior to Nayms, Mr Richards served as assistant vice-president and actuary at Chubb Bermuda Insurance Limited. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
