AIG appoints Rose Marie Glazer

Rose Marie Glazer has been named general counsel at American International Group Inc.

Ms Glazer, who had served as interim general counsel since October 1, will oversee AIG’s legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs functions.

The company said she remains an executive vice-president reporting to Peter Zaffino, AIG chairman and chief executive, and member of AIG’s executive leadership team.

Mr Zaffino said: “The legal, business and governance expertise that Rose Marie has demonstrated during her tenure, including most recently as interim general counsel, reaffirms that she is uniquely qualified for this leadership position.

“Rose Marie has played an instrumental role in the significant progress we have made in positioning AIG as a top performing global insurer. I look forward to continuing to work closely with her.”

Ms Glazer said: “AIG is at an inflection point in its pursuit of excellence as a top performing global company, and our talented and dedicated legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs teams will play an ever-important role in supporting high-quality outcomes.

“Partnering with our world-class colleagues across AIG’s businesses and operations, we are aligned behind clear priorities and committed to advancing AIG’s progress.”
