Fidelis names James Dumelow as communications director

Bermudian-headquartered Fidelis Insurance Holdings Ltd has appointed James Dumelow as communications director.

Reporting to Miranda Hunter, head of investor relations, the company said Mr Dumelow will play a pivotal role in building Fidelis Insurance Group’s communications and engagement function with a focus on further elevating the company’s brand.

Ms Hunter said: “James brings an extensive background in speciality (insurance and reinsurance) communications, and will be integral to the development of our communications, marketing and public relations capabilities.

“In this newly created position, he will advance our company-wide communications strategy, which includes further honing our brand position, raising our profile across traditional and social-media platforms, and enhancing our internal communications process.”

Mr Dumelow joins Fidelis with nearly 15 years of industry experience helping organisations to develop and implement group-wide communications and marketing strategies.

Most recently, he served as the group head of marketing and communications at Ascot Group.
