Two hundred people are already registered to attend the Bermuda Rims reception May 7 at this year’s Riskworld 2024 in California.

Rims is the world’s largest risk management community, and Riskworld is the largest convention for risk managers.

The annual Bermuda event is scheduled for the Gaslamp Quarter, downtown San Diego, at the Sparks Gallery on Sixth Avenue.

The wider conference is an opportunity for local delegates to advocate for the Bermuda market.

Patrick Tannock, Association of Bermuda International Companies chair and chief executive officer of Axa XL in Bermuda, said: “With thousands of industry stakeholders expected to attend, it’s the perfect platform to connect with US risk management professionals.”

Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers CEO John Huff said: “Bermuda’s reinsurers represent one third of the global property and casualty reinsurance market, and as such, Abir is a longtime supporter of Rims’ annual conference. We expect our member companies to once again continue the tradition of a strong showing of support of, and attendance at Riskworld 2024.“
