TJ Krzmarzick new head of US excess casualty at Vantage Group
Thomas “TJ” Krzmarzick, is Vantage Group Holdings’ new head of US excess casualty while Thomas Burtle, has been appointed chief underwriting officer, casualty.
A spokesman said these promotions underscored Vantage’s commitment to sustained, profitable growth within its US excess casualty portfolio and also to capitalising on continued market opportunities.
Denise Watkins, senior vice-present, head of casualty said: “Our team’s ability to see risk differently and respond quickly is what sets us apart, and it’s essential for serving our wide range of customers.”
Mr Krzmarzick, a chartered property casualty underwriter, was previously vice-president Vantage risk for three years. He will be responsible for portfolio management, balancing capital utilisation, and underwriting leadership.
Mr Burtle, also a CPCU, was previously vice-president excess casualty at Vantage for four years. He will be responsible for maintaining underwriting quality and standards and driving underwriting efficiencies.
The two will jointly lead the execution of business plans, the development of casualty products, and the establishment of underwriting guidelines. In addition to KPI-driven portfolio reviews, they will continue to underwrite business directly.
Sean Hansen, also promoted to underwriting manager, US excess casualty, is now responsible for managing a book of business and leading the daily operations of an underwriting team.
