BDA tells island’s story at Riskworld
The Bermuda Business Development Agency continued the island’s longstanding relationship with the world’s leading association of risk managers this week, during Riskworld in Philadelphia.
Top executives of the Risk and Insurance Management Society visited Bermuda officials during their annual meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre.
Rims is a global community of 10,000 risk professionals, whose annual meeting includes a large exhibition, in which insurance professionals in Bermuda and around the world participate.
This week’s meetings were winding down last night after more than 100 educational sessions on trending topics for all levels, plus education on pressing issues like AI adoption, tariffs, and global disruptions.
They included case studies and interactive sessions to help delegates discover strategies to sharpen decision-making and stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of risk.
Apart from the educational component, the event annually introduces unique experiences designed to enhance leadership and professional visibility and build new business connections.
After congregating with the world’s most influential risk community, David Parker, head of business development at the BDA said: “Riskworld remains an important platform for Bermuda to stay close to global risk managers, insurance partners and industry decision-makers.
“Our presence this year is more streamlined, but it is intentional. We are here to support Bermuda’s industry, strengthen relationships, and reinforce why the island continues to be trusted for risk, insurance, reinsurance and captives.
“Bermuda’s strength has always been the combination of regulatory credibility, deep market expertise and close collaboration between government, industry and regulator.”
