Miller has appointed Kim Plant as head of North American property as the independent specialist re/insurance broker expands its wholesale business in the United States and Canada.

Mr Plant joins the company from Amwins, where he served as a director in its North American property division since 2020. Before that, he worked in Lockton’s property team after 13 years of service with the British Army's Grenadier Guards.

Based across London and Bermuda, Mr Plant will lead Miller's North American property proposition, working alongside Matthew Keeping, managing director and head of property and casualty, to develop client relationships in the US and Canada.

Mr Plant’s appointment follows the arrival of Paul Jenkins as a senior director in Miller's US property team earlier this year and is part of the company's strategy to grow its North American wholesale operations.

He added that Mr Plant’s market expertise and industry relationships made him well placed to lead the business as demand for its services increase.

Mr Plant said he was joining Miller during “an exciting time of growth” for its North American property business.
