Two executives promoted at Hamilton Select
Hamilton Insurance Group has promoted two senior executives at its United States excess and surplus lines platform, Hamilton Select, as the Bermudian-based insurer continues to expand its wholesale distribution business.
Mike Mulray has been promoted to president of Hamilton Select, effective July 1. He will continue to report to Anita Kuchma, chief executive of Hamilton Select, and will oversee the next phase of the platform's growth, including expanding its product offering and risk appetite.
At the same time, Daniel Tague has been promoted to chief underwriting officer of Hamilton Select. Reporting to Mr Mulray, he will lead the underwriting organisation and optimise the portfolio as the business grows.
Ms Kuchma said: “Mike has made a significant impact since joining Hamilton in October 2025, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic insight and a deep commitment to our clients, partners and team.
“Dan’s underwriting acumen and experience along with his track record of success position him exceptionally well to lead our underwriting function as we continue to expand Hamilton Select's capabilities and presence in the E&S market.
“These appointments strengthen our leadership team and position Hamilton Select for its next phase of growth, as we continue to invest in talent, build out our product offering and deliver consistent value through our wholesale-focused distribution model.”
Mr Mulray joined Hamilton in October 2025 after more than nine years at Everest, where he most recently served as executive vice-president and president of North America insurance. Earlier in his career, he held senior enterprise risk management and corporate insurance roles at General Electric Co and began his career at Aon in the US and Bermuda.
Mr Tague joined Hamilton in August 2023 as senior vice-president, excess casualty, and most recently led all casualty businesses for Hamilton Select. Before joining the company, he held senior underwriting roles at N2G Worldwide Insurance, Travelers, Hiscox and WR Berkley.
